‘The Ghost of Black Rock Castle’ is the first adventure story in 'The Jess Mystery Series’ for children aged 7 years and older.
Jess and her best friend Ruby set out on a school trip to ‘Black Rock Castle’ with the rest of Class Three from ‘Oakhill Primary School’. Jess is sure that the castle is haunted by a ghost, but their teacher Mrs Green says that there are only ghosts in stories.
Class Three visit the Castle dungeons and the Great Hall. Children go missing, Ruby is scared and Jess thinks she's seen the ghost. There are a lot more spooky experiences in store and when they visit the Ghost Tower, Jess and Ruby are frightened and challenged by the ghost.
